2021-09-27
Novel coronavirus pneumonia prevention and control situation in Xiamen held on 26 may at a press conference. Ma Huilai, a Fujian working group expert of the joint defense and joint control mechanism of the State Council and a researcher at the China Center for Disease Control and prevention, said that as of now, the number of new cases has been maintained in single figures for 2 consecutive days, and that the risk of community communication has further been reduced from centrally segregated personnel to Xiamen. No new cases were reported in Huli District for 2 consecutive days, Haicang District for 4 consecutive days and Siming District for 6 consecutive days. Xiangan District and Jimei District did not find infected persons in multiple rounds of full screening, and the possibility of local epidemic in the above two areas is very low. Therefore, the overall epidemic situation in Xiamen shows a downward trend and has entered a tailing period. (reporter Yan Zhihong, Wu Jianfeng)
