Hurun Research Institute recently released the list of "Hurun world top 500" in 2021. There are 47 Chinese enterprises on the list, with a total value of 36 trillion yuan. Among them, there are two enterprises headquartered in Fujian on the list, namely Ningde times and Anta.

It is understood that, different from the previously announced ranking of the Fortune Global 500 by annual revenue, "Hurun Global 500" lists the world's top 500 non-state-owned enterprises, and ranks them according to the market value or valuation of enterprises. Among them, the market value of listed companies is calculated according to the closing price on July 15, 2021, and the valuation of non listed companies is estimated with reference to the listed companies in the same industry or according to the latest round of financing.

Overall, the threshold for listing on this year's list increased by 15% to 236.8 billion yuan over last year, and the total value of listed enterprises increased by 17% to 375 trillion yuan, with an average value of 750 billion yuan.

The top ten enterprises in the list are apple, Microsoft, Amazon, alphabet, Facebook, Tencent holdings, Berkshire Hathaway, Tesla, Alibaba and TSMC. 47 Chinese companies have entered the "Hurun world top 500". In addition to Tencent holdings, Alibaba and TSMC, byte beat, meituan, Ningde times, Huawei, ant group, pinduoduo, JD group and Xiaomi group are also among the top 200. 7 Chinese enterprises, including Kwai Chi, Zhi Fei, Wei Er, BEIR Li, Ngong, Gan Feng Li, and Yiwei Li China, are new companies.

In terms of Fujian enterprises, Ningde times, a leading power battery enterprise, ranks 50th on the list with an enterprise valuation of 1320 billion yuan, ranking second in the global energy industry after ExxonMobil, an old American energy company, and second in the value among the new top 100 enterprises. At present, among Fujian A-share listed companies, Ningde era has the highest market value. Anta ranked 252th on the list with an enterprise valuation of 423.8 billion yuan. In July this year, Anta's market value once exceeded HK $500 billion, surpassing Adidas to become the second largest sports brand in the world, second only to Nike.
